Adaptogens and Stress:

Many factors influence how the body responds to life’s challenges.

Adaptogens are substances that mobilize internal energy reserves,

preventing the body from overreacting to stress and thus avoiding,

reducing, or delaying the burnout that follows periods of extreme stress.

True adaptogens act by extending the phase of resistance, a state in

which the body’s capacities are optimally mobilized to adapt to new

challenges.
